Following Your Soul’s Guidance

As I get ready to embark on our Embodied Heart Retreat in Ecuador in just a few days, I feel an overwhelming sense of gratitude for the guidance provided by my soul and Source during my journey. Looking back over the past few years as I complete my book, I realize that traveling to Ecuador was never part of my life’s vision, nor was visiting England on my bucket list. Yet, I was led to explore both places and return again.

There are greater forces at play.

I have often struggled to connect with and accept my ancestors, particularly regarding their racism and role in colonization. So, when my British friends Barry and Dilraj said they wanted to “meet me in the flesh” one October day, I felt uncertain. I turned to my pendulum to determine the best time to go, and it indicated December. However, I had already scheduled a retreat in Costa Rica for that time, leading me to think that wouldn’t be feasible.

It was the final day of October. I had just come back from a ceremony in New York with Monique and Tati. Monique had previously introduced me to Tati during a trip to Ecuador. I received a call informing me that the retreat in Costa Rica was cancelled. When I contacted the UK, they urged me to “come!”

It seemed clear that greater forces were at play.

My brother unearthed our Westwood family history in our mother’s basement. To our surprise, we found that our ancestors hailed from a region just minutes away from where my friends live! This discovery transformed my visit into something much deeper—a remarkable ancestral journey filled with synchronicities. Everything unfolded rapidly, as I set off on Thanksgiving Day.

Clearly, there were greater forces at play.

We explored the church where my great-great-great-grandparents wed in 1798, and our journey to the 6,000-year-old stone circles of Avebury was truly one of the most enchanting experiences of my life. Some sacred sites radiate with the spirits of the Earth, nourishing my soul in profound ways. I left there transformed, not the same person who had arrived.

One day while sharing tea and plum bread, my wonderful friends and I felt guided to launch a podcast. Last week, we recorded the initial two episodes of “Our Souls Speak,” and I will be returning to England in April to record several additional episodes.

Recently, I completed the draft of my book, where I delve into the magic I’ve experienced. Now, I’m immersed in the lengthy editing and publishing process, which is taking longer than my child expected. In today’s social media era, it’s easy to assume that creativity is always a joyful journey. However, over the past year and a half, I’ve needed to retreat inward to bring this vision to life. At times, it was incredibly painful to revisit my past in the very house where many of these experiences unfolded.

The outcome of this journey is a deeper recognition of the guidance available to me—the transformative power of integrating through writing. We have the ability to follow our guidance in every moment of each day, and I can attest it is truly worthwhile! As I emerge, I have a clear understanding of my soul’s mission and eagerly anticipate the journey ahead in service to Source – aware that there are greater forces at play.

Blessings,

Gregg
